The Nashville Broncs is a new American Basketball Association expansion team located in Nashville, Tennessee. Owned by World Champion Rodeo Rider and Business Entrepreneur, Scott Lumley, the Broncs will play their inaugural season at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. With seating for approximately 9,800 fans, the Municipal Auditorium is located in the downtown area close to historic “honky tonk row”. Named for wild or untamed horses called broncos or “broncs”, the team is comprised of several local basketball stars as well as other national phenoms. In a widely hailed move, Lumley signed former Vanderbilt star coach, Jan van Breda Kolff as Head Coach. The home game season opener is scheduled for November 14, 2008 and will be followed by 17 additional home games, as well as a soon to be announced away game schedule.
